Before you start
- Sign in to the Google account that can access the website in Search Console.
- For visitor reports, that same account needs access to the matching GA4 property.
Set it up, step by step
- Open Connections and select the intended business in the business switcher.
- Choose Connect Google or Reconnect Google. Review the requested reporting permissions and complete Google’s consent flow.
- Choose Load my properties. Select your Search Console website: a sc-domain property covers the domain; a URL-prefix property covers its exact prefix.
- Choose the matching Google Analytics property if you have one, then Save business settings. Repeat property selection separately for other businesses.
In the dashboard menu: Account → Connections.
How to use it
Refresh Overview to verify access. Search Console and Analytics can be checked independently.
Sitemap submission uses a separate optional Search Console permission. Enable it only if you want that action; read-only reports do not edit your website.
What the results mean
Saved settings are not proof that the current Google token still works. Google access may be revoked or expire.
The account’s Google connection is shared across your saved businesses, while each business keeps its own report settings.
If something goes wrong
My Analytics property is missing
Confirm it exists and this Google account has access. Load properties again. Do not pick a different business’s property just to fill the field.
Permission denied or Google connection failed
Check the account and permissions in Google, then reconnect. If Google blocks access, follow its displayed instructions and contact support with the exact error.
I want to disconnect
Disconnecting removes the connection token and saved indexing scans; saved business settings are retained. Read the confirmation and data-deletion instructions first.
