KEYWORD WATCHLIST

Keep the searches that matter to your business in view.

Remember your important service searches, record their reported Google positions and keep notes about the work you are doing. AAA Signal uses actual Search Console impressions rather than pretending every customer sees one fixed ranking.

Your important phrases, saved

Keep up to 50 phrases per business, with notes that explain why each one matters. Your watchlist stays with the selected business.

A recorded position history

Manually check a phrase and keep up to 30 snapshots. Watchlist checks use the last 28 complete days across all countries and devices.

A clearer view of the numbers

Read position alongside clicks and impressions. Open Search positions when you need a different supported period, Australia filter or device breakdown.

How to use it in AAA Signal

  1. Select the right business and Search Console property in Connections.
  2. Review existing search queries and choose an important, relevant phrase.
  3. Add the phrase in Keyword watchlist, record a check and keep a note about its intended page.
  4. Review later snapshots alongside clicks, impressions and any dated work notes; use Search positions for supported country/device filters.

Track useful searches rather than a long list of guesses

Start with the services and locations that describe what you actually offer. Review queries already returned by Search Console, then choose phrases worth keeping an eye on. A phrase with impressions and a relevant landing page is evidence that Google has shown your site for that search.

Keep notes about the intended page and the reason you are tracking the phrase. A business name and a service search answer different questions: one can reflect people who already know you, while the other can help you review how a service is found. The app does not label either as a confirmed sales opportunity.

What an average position tells you

Search Console position is an average across recorded impressions. Results vary with location, device, time and the search results shown. A position such as 8.4 does not mean every potential customer sees the same result or that a fixed page number can be assigned.

The watchlist records a 28-day view across all countries and devices. Two snapshots can use overlapping reporting windows. If they differ, the underlying mix of searches and impressions may also have changed; the difference does not by itself establish the effect of a website edit.

Manual checks and a history you can control

Add a phrase in Keyword watchlist, then choose Check & record. Up to 30 snapshots are retained for each saved phrase. A check with the same reporting end date updates that period’s existing snapshot rather than creating a second identical period. A short cooldown prevents repeated refreshes of the same phrase.

Checks are manual in this release. The app does not continuously query Google or run an unattended daily rank tracker. Delete a saved keyword to remove its recorded history. If you need an exact supported country or device filter, use Search positions separately rather than assuming the watchlist applies it.

When Google returns no position

No returned impressions can reflect a low-volume phrase, a filter, a reporting gap or Google’s privacy filtering. It does not prove that the site is unindexed or never ranks. Try an appropriate reporting period and inspect the actual page before deciding what needs to change.

Use the wider workflow when a search needs attention: inspect the relevant page, review its content and title, and put a specific task into the SEO workboard. AAA Signal does not rewrite or publish your page, monitor Google Maps rankings or guarantee a position improvement.

Common questions

Is this a live Google rank checker?

No. It uses reported Google Search Console average positions from complete periods. It does not simulate a search from a chosen postcode or show a fixed live rank.

Are keyword checks automatic?

No. Use Check & record when you want to save a new snapshot. Weekly email delivery is separate and does not refresh the keyword watchlist.

Does it measure Google Maps or local-pack rankings?

No. The watchlist measures reported website search positions. It is not a separate Maps or local-grid rank tracker.

Why can a phrase show no data?

Google may return no impressions for the selected window, or omit low-volume queries for privacy. Missing data does not establish that the website has no ranking.
