Figures and account details shown are from an example report, not customer results. Hosted by AAA Signal, so nothing loads from YouTube. Watching doesn't connect an account or change your settings.
Before you start
- Access to Google Analytics and permission to create or manage the appropriate property.
- Access to your website platform or a developer who can install and verify tracking.
Set it up, step by step
- In Google Analytics, create or choose a GA4 property for this website. Use the appropriate business timezone and currency.
- Create a Web data stream for the correct website address and note its G- measurement ID.
- Follow the tag instructions for your website platform, or ask your developer to install the tag once. Review consent requirements and avoid sending names, emails or other personal information in URLs or events.
- Visit the public website and verify a test visit in Analytics Realtime or DebugView. Then load properties in AAA Signal Connections, select this GA4 property and Save business settings.
How to use it
Use Visitor insights to review collected activity after Analytics processes it. Historical visits before collection began are not backfilled.
If your implementation sends controlled page views, coordinate automatic measurement settings with your developer to avoid duplicate collection; there is no single correct setting for every website.
What the results mean
A measurement ID beginning G- identifies a web stream. AAA Signal’s property selector uses the Analytics property, not a pasted measurement ID.
A data-collection warning can lag behind a working test visit. Waiting alone will not fix an uninstalled or blocked tag.
If something goes wrong
Data collection is pending
Confirm the tag is present and sending to the correct stream. Check consent, browser blockers and Realtime before waiting for standard reports to process.
Realtime works but the dashboard is empty
Confirm the selected property and completed dates. Newly collected data may fall outside a report ending three days ago.
Visitors seem doubled
Ask your developer to check for duplicate tags or page-view events before changing settings.
Keep going
- Connect Google and choose the right website
- Read visitor sources, pages and events
- Measure successful enquiries, not just clicks
