Which pages bring visitors from Google?

Some pages pull their weight. Some are freeloaders. Let's see which. A short narrated walkthrough using an example report: Load the report, Clicks versus visits, Read each page, Check the notes.

Before you start

  • Search Console and Analytics properties for the same website selected in Connections.

Set it up, step by step

  1. Choose the business and complete reporting period in the dashboard.
  2. Open Landing page value and choose Load the selected-day report.
  3. Review the hostname and page path, source coverage, clicks, organic sessions, engagement and any key-event or revenue values.
  4. Use the coverage notes and warnings before downloading the comparison.

Open Landing page value →

In the dashboard menu: Advanced tools → Landing page value (click Advanced tools to open that section).

How to use it

Start with important service pages. A page with search visibility but weak collected engagement deserves review of content and tracking.

Retain rows present in only one source as investigation leads; do not turn missing values into measured zeros.

What the results mean

The Analytics scope is google / organic; broader visitor reports use different scopes.

URLs are compared by hostname and path. Aggregates from two sources are not proof that a particular keyword generated an enquiry or sale.

If something goes wrong

Many rows appear in only one source

Confirm matching properties and hosts. Review canonical URLs, redirects, tagging and collection coverage.

Clicks and sessions do not match

This is expected to some degree: they use different measurement rules, timezones and collection conditions.
