Before you start
- Connect Google and save at least one enabled website in AAA Signal.
- A Claude plan that lets you add custom connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add or allow it first.
Set it up, step by step
- Open Claude at claude.ai or in the Claude app and go to Settings → Connectors. Some versions show this as Customize → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector. Name: AAA Signal. Remote MCP server URL: https://aaasignal.com.au/assistant/mcp
- Leave the advanced settings (OAuth Client ID and Client Secret) empty. Claude identifies itself to AAA Signal automatically.
- Choose Add, then Connect. A secure AAA Signal page opens: sign in, check it says it is connecting Claude and returning to claude.ai, tick only the websites you want to share and choose Allow selected businesses.
- Back in Claude, start a new chat and make sure AAA Signal is switched on in the tools menu. Ask: “Using AAA Signal, list my approved businesses.” Check the names match what you ticked.
- To review or switch off access, open AI assistants in AAA Signal. Approvals last 30 days; reconnect from Claude’s Connectors page when needed.
In the dashboard menu: Advanced tools → AI assistants (click Advanced tools to open that section).
How to use it
Try: “What changed on my website this week and what should I check first?”, “Which pages bring the most visitors?” or “Give me an action briefing for my main business.”
Claude can read reports, briefings, saved indexing results and workspace records. It cannot change your website, Google settings, tasks, emails or billing.
What the results mean
Only the websites you ticked are shared, and every request is checked against your approval.
Google passwords and connection tokens are never shared. Report content you ask about is handled by Anthropic under the terms and data settings of your Claude account.
Connecting does not list AAA Signal publicly or make Claude recommend it to anyone else.
If something goes wrong
There is no Add custom connector option
Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan and, on Team or Enterprise, on your organisation’s settings. Ask your Claude owner, or use Copy summary in AAA Signal instead.
The approval page says to start again
Close it and choose Connect again from Claude’s Connectors page. Approval pages expire after ten minutes.
Claude says it cannot see AAA Signal tools
Make sure the connector is switched on for the chat in the tools menu. If it still fails, disconnect and reconnect it, then contact support with the time it happened.
A website is missing
Claude only sees the websites ticked at approval that are still enabled in AAA Signal. Reconnect to choose a different selection.
